Nothing quiet encapsulates the spirit of cannabis like the beaches of California. Sunshine, beautiful women, and a carefree attitude is what it is all about. That is what makes Cali Crusher a great name for a grinder. But does this grinder contain the quality and features that you come to expect from the best weed grinders? We dug deeper to learn more about Cali Crusher to see how it stacks up.
Our reviews look at four areas: grind quality, materials, design, and price. Consider what is most important to you when reading our marijuana grinder reviews.
Just as the case with many other anodized aluminum grinders, the Cali Crusher provides a quality grinder which leaves the herb fluffy and evenly ground.
With options like the Cali Crusher it is hard to justify paying $60+ for a Space Case or Compton Grinder. Rest assured that the difference in grind quality between the Cali Crusher and these other more premium options is minimal.
As with other mid-priced grinders, the Cali Crusher is made from anodized aluminum. Anodized aluminum offers better long-term durability than paint so that you won’t have to worry about paint chipping off into your herb.
There are 32 grinder teeth on the standard 2 inch diameter Cali Crusher. This is a large number of teeth for a smaller grinder, and is the primary reason for the quality grind produced by the Cali Crusher.
Neodymium magnets keep the lid in place making it less likely that herb will be spilt. Also, there is a plastic scraper tool that comes in handy when working with kief.
The manufacturing quality is above average as well. The threads on the Cali Crusher fit smoothly together and do not get stuck or caught. With regular use and maintenance this grinder will remain in top quality and provide years of service.
We mentioned a bit about the design of the Cali Crusher Grinder in the Materials section, but we will break it down even further here.
The 32 teeth on the Cali Crusher are diamond shaped, which is a standard shape for herb grinder teeth. These are sharp on both sides allowing you to grind herb no matter which direction you twist the lid.
The only gripe we have when it comes to the design is that the kief catcher does not have rounded edges, which makes scrapping kief a bit more difficult. For example, Black Tie Grinders have rounded edges, which is you can see in our review of that grinder.
A nice feature of the Cali Crusher is that it comes in many color options. Color options available on Amazon currently include black, blue, pink, purple, green, red, silver, and yellow.
2 inch four-piece Cali Crusher grinders cost around $25. This is a decent value, but other better values do exist. We recommend the Black Tie Grinder and Golden Gate Grinder for those who looking for more bang for your buck.
Cali Crusher finds itself in a bit of an awkward price point. It is more expensive than some other larger grinders that are just as good if not better. This leaves it lacking in the value department. However, the quality is there, and if you know about herb grinders you know that Cali Crusher is a brand with a solid reputation. The teeth on the Cali Crusher are plentiful and the filtered product is a quality grind, you will not be disappointed by how this grinder functions if you happen to pick one up.
